Chester Nez Code Talker

Chester Nez said "I am so proud to have served my country as a code talker." Chester Nez is a 93 year old man who was born in New Mexico during the time period that Being a Native American wasn't excepted, and Native Americans were punished for speaking their language. One day when Chester was at boarding school the marines came in and asked for a group of Navajo Native Americans to preform a secret mission that they weren't told what it was. Chester Nez was one of the 29 Navajo Native Americans who got excepted into the secret mission the marines offered. The mission was to develop a code that would help America win the World War Two Against Japan. After the code was developed the code talkers were so efficient and successful that they were needed everywhere so that meant that they did not get R& R they would just be moved to another military base where they were needed. Chester served in the pacific theater and did a lot to help our military I am thankful for his service. The code talkers all together provided a great service for our country I am so thankful that they served. Chester Nez is similar to Louie Zamperini from Unbroken Because they both served in World War Two they served their country in the pacific theater. Ideals are something that Chester and Louie have a similar mind set on they both forgave the people that fought against them.
