The story of Chester Nez: The code Breaker

              Chester Nez was a Navajo and in his childhood went through many hard things. The people around him in his school and neighborhood were very unfair to the Navajos'. To be a code breaker or maker you have to have be able to think under pressure and be able to cooperate with the people in your group.Through his childhood while he was in school, he had to think while in pressure everyday. He had to go through many hardships too. In school if you answered a question incorrectly in would get hit or smacked. Many of the Navajos had sheep and in the place they lived had hardly and grass. They would take their sheep around to places and sometimes they would go miles and miles to find grass for their sheep to graze and eat. There were many Navajos and almost all of them had sheep. With hardly any grass you would think that the Navajos fought everyday for the grass but they did the opposite. They cooperated very well with each other. With these skills, Chester Nez and some of the other Navajos became the best code breakers and makers in the time of war.
               I had learned that in times of hardship you should help others and share your hardship with others that are like you. Instead of pondering of how to get pay back and revenge on the people that treated you unfairly you should forget about it let it make you stronger and stronger. With these things that happened in times of war Chester Nez was still able to smile at the people that treated him so unfairly. With the words that he stated many times: "I am so proud to serve my country. It is an experience and time that I will never forget".
